Jon DeVries

Jon DeVries has more than 20 years of experience spearheading the creation and release of innovative cloud-based healthcare initiatives that bring advanced services and technologies to providers and researchers, with the goal of improving patient care.

Prior to joining Mirada, as CEO of Qlarity Imaging, Jon was responsible for executing the company’s vision to transform breast imaging through diagnostic AI technology, starting with its initial product QuantX—the first FDA-cleared diagnostic AI software.

Other projects he has worked on include:

• Creating the first AI offering at IBM Watson Health Imaging to identify patients with a potential misdiagnosis

• At Merge Healthcare, he developed solutions to better manage medical images in clinical trials, commercialized the first self-service Electronic Data Capture (EDC) solution for clinical trials, modernized the best-selling enterprise imaging software stack, and launched a service to deliver medical images anywhere at anytime, giving providers a complete view of patients and their histories.

• While at Massachusetts General Hospital he launched a Tele3D service that provides any hospital in the country access to three-dimensional (3D) image analytics without incurring the substantial cost of cultivating in-house 3D capabilities.

Jon has earned eight patents in the areas of superconducting electronics, medical imaging, and AI. His contributions to the medical imaging community have resulted in several awards, including being named an AI Activator by The Imaging Wire and one of the Top 50 Tech Visionaries by InterCon. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Harvey Mudd College and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Operations from Columbia University-Columbia Business School.
