Top researchers convene in Tübingen for third annual PET/MR workshop

Oxford, UK, 19 February 2014:  Internationally renowned experts from the fields of nuclear medicine, radiology and imaging sciences are gathering at The University Hospitals of Tübingen, Germany this week to discuss the emerging technological advances of PET/MR and its implication in research and medicine. This is the premier forum for leaders in hybrid PET/MR and is attended by most of the experts in this field.

Mirada Medical, a leading developer of software tools for hybrid PET/MR reading and other advanced image analysis applications, is a sponsor for the Workshop for the third year in a row and will be highlighting its latest PET/MR software tools at the meeting. “

We are proud to be supporting the research and innovation that the Tubingen PET/MR Workshop brings together,” stated Mark Gooding, PhD., Senior Scientist of Mirada Medical. “It will be exciting to see what hybrid PET/MR can bring to healthcare.” Dr Gooding is presenting a talk in the “Meet the Industry” session titled, Solving problems in PET/MR, which will focus on some of the issues that must be overcome for PET/MR to become a mainstream modality.

The Tübingen PET/MR workshop has been fully subscribed for months and onsite registration is not possible. Round table discussion will target immediate questions in the realms of key-applications, workflow issues and technical challenges linked to this new technology. For colleagues new to the field of PET/MR there is a two-day hands-on training and ‘Reading with the experts’ session in small interactive groups, preceding the workshop.
