Location: Oxford, UK

Reports to: Chief Scientist

Hours: Flexible, part time (negotiable)

Travel: May be occasionally required (UK & International) e.g. to partner sites

Salary:  £25-40K (pro-rata) + Benefits, depending on skills and experience

Mirada Medical (www.mirada-medical.com) is seeking a Grants Manager to join its Science and Medical Technology group. Reporting to the Chief Scientist, the successful candidate will assist in finding, writing and managing of grants in line with the company strategy. This position will combine the ability to understand the technical, scientific and medical concepts at a high level with good commercial awareness. The ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, both verbally and in written form is essential.

Skills and Experience        

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work with a diverse number of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Ability to develop high quality written submissions on technical subjects
  • Ability to evolve new proposals that are innovative and align with core mission
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Numerically competent

Advantageous Skills

  • A graduate degree or higher
  • Background in a scientific/clinical role
  • Experience in developing business plans
  • Experience in the delivery of complex written documentation with a financial element
  • Project management
